EDUCATION STATEMENT
Serving young people as an educator and director is a calling, a gift, and a privilege, and it must be approached with tremendous amounts of passion, patience, flexibility, and love. As an educator in the fine arts, I live for those “a-ha!” moments that I see flash across the faces of my students, when moments of understanding and wonder are made real for them. All educational pursuits are important to the well-roundedness of students, which is why I enjoy ACT Tutoring; it is incredibly rewarding to help students achieve scores that help their acceptance into the college/university that fits best with their path. It is my personal desire to see all students come into personal contact with the fine arts whether on the periphery (introductory classes) or fully immersed (musical/theatrical ensembles). I want to change lives. I also want to enrich academic pursuits and make a positive impact in their educational journey. I want to honor them with excellent teaching and mentoring in exchange for allowing me the joy of watching them grow into incredible young adults.
Serving those out in the world as a designer and creator is a joy and something I have wanted to pursue for a long time. There is something fulfilling and special about providing a service that helps to memorialize loved ones or turn beloved items into something new, unique, and heart-touching.
